If you have been reading our blog for a year or so, you may remember the post in which we guessed one random thing about each of our followers. Click here to read it! We had so much fun with that, that I decided to do it again! :) I will use my Sherlock Holmes-ish mind ;) and guess one thing for each person. Happy Blogoversary!!!

First off, we want to say one thing, we know this is September 11, and we know that alot of families are grieving right now. We are praying for you and our troops! We do not know what possessed us to start this blog on September 11 last year, but just like you can't change your birthday, we have to roll with this date so....
We just have one thing to say to ourselves:
HAPPY
FIRST EVER
BLOGOVERSARY!!!!! :D
It has been a great year! Thank you to all our 38 followers who have given themselves over to reading about our life, our whims, our oddities, and most importantly, our family that the Lord has blessed us with! And hello to all you people who read, but do not follow! (Hi Mrs. Cook! :) Sometimes it may have got a little bit boring, or slow, but we have kept up a blog for a year now. Sooo.....what do you people think of it? I would love to get most of our followers to just drop us a line on this post, telling us what you think of this blog! :) Please do it! We want to make it as worthwhile as possible! :) Here are some things I (Rachel) want to improve on this year. Sarah is still enjoying her sweet dreams, but I know some of these are concerns of hers as well. She can edit this post later if she thinks of any more! :D
More pictures- okay. Once and for all, let me state that we can not post pictures of ourselves per se, but we can definitely improve on taking pictures of things we are doing, places, etc. You will probably see more of our hands this year! ;)
More Thought-provoking posts- humorous posts are all very good and amusing in moderation, but there is more to us than fun and games and fol-de-rol merriment. We have heads on our shoulders! We'll use them a bit more often this year! ;)
More posts about projects and events we have been doing or attended!- This could include sewing, farm projects, dances, fairs, etc.
More reviews- books, movies, etc. It always helps to have someone else review a movie for you who has very similiar values to your's :)
So this will be a fun year on this blog! We hope to gain more followers at some point, because we love people! But really- Thanks so much to you 38 who have made this so much more fun! :)

A Comparison of Our Blogs To Others
Alright! I have a question that has been bobbling around my head for some time now: How on earth do some blogs get so many followers?!?!?! It makes me rather jealous sometimes! ;) I'm kidding, but really- we have 35 followers. Respectable for the first year of blogging. But how do other people get so many? Here are some reasons I can think of:
Excitement: say you are engaged, or going to Europe, or something like that, and they'll come flooding! (So what's a girl to do who has no fiancee or funds?)
Pictures: Everyone loves seeing pictures of you, and your family. (We have discussed this, and the only options are: (A. leave you with seeing only our hands in select pictures of things we are doing (B. close this blog and invite you, and then show you pictures of us! But that doesn't do much for the follower issue, because once we are closed, not too many people can find us! :)
Style: Have one of those really fancy blogs with a great header, background, and a music playlist. (Um...our filter blocks most backgrounds, and we never hear playlists even when someone has them, because I guess it blocks it too! :P)
Genius: Say really smart and amazingly insightful things. (We are simple people, and not too many brilliant ideas come our way! ;)
Wisdom: Write posts about what you've been reading in your Bible, and thinking on, etc. (There is room for improvement in this area, but this is also a blog about our family, so we can't devote it entirely to that topic with nothing else thrown in)
Follower-Friendly Blogs: These are the ones that are constantly having contests, tags, awards, etc. (We do some, but if we aren't getting tagged, how can we tag someone else? And how do you make those award things?)
So as you can see, we try to have an interesting blog, but it seems that we lack all the stuff the "big bloggers" have! :D Thank you to each and every one of our 35 followers, and especially those of you who comment often! You are what keeps blogging fun! :) And any people out there who read this blog but don't follow it.... could you pretty please join up just to make us feel better? :) -Rachel

Scary Thought, But Give Us Your Real Opinion! :)
Okay guys. Here it is: this is our quarterly "customer satisfaction" post ;) Basically, we have had this blog for four months now, and it is time we get some feedback. So here is the mission: All you guys who follow this blog, or read this blog, or even just occasionally visit this blog, please leave a comment and tell us three things: Your over-all opinion of this blog, your favorite thing about it, and what you think we could improve. Got it? This mission should only take a few moments, and we'd really appreciate hearing from everybody. I'd like to see at least 20 people give us feed-back, because we have 24 followers, and between them, and several people I know who read this blog but don't follow it, I think we can get a tidy little idea of what we should work on this next quarter! (Don't I sound dreadfully like a CEO or something. I hate those little up and down profit charts! :) Thanks to all of our followers, and those people who faithfully leave comments. I'm sure you know how it is when you write a post, and it is "virtual crickets". (Note: in our family, when someone does something that goes over about as well as a lead balloon, we say it was "crickets" meaning like on a movie when it is so quiet you can hear the crickets chirping! :) Okay! Off you go! We'll leave this post on through Saturday, so let's open the flood-gates and start the voting! :)
