Hey Guys! I've been tagged by Abigail, so here I go!
Three ways I'm still a kid: Ummm... well, obviously, I'm only 17, I still get so excited about Christmas that I wake up before 5, I squeal when I'm really excited, I like to cuddle with Mama.
Three ways I'm already old: I don't like tons of confusing noise unless I'm the one making it, I get cold feet easily, I like using quotes
Three things I want to do: Go to Scotland on my honeymoon, serve God whole-heartedly and humbly, get married before I'm an old maid.
Three ways I'm a stereotypical boy: (I am so different than a boy that this is a shock-ing question!) I am not afraid of snakes, I like sword fighting, and I like camping
Three ways I'm a stereotypical girl: I blush, I love babies, I love dressing up pretty
Three things I want to do in the next 12 months: publish one of my books and illustrate someone elses *smiles back*, spend more time memorizing scripture, finish my school.
Three things I like about myself: I have severe astigmastism (I'm kidding, I just had an eye doctor's appointment and wowed them once again with the football-ness shape of my eyeball) I smile alot, I laugh alot, I can write fairly well.
Three things I hate about myself: (well, I don't hate myself, but things I strongly dislike?) The fact that I and everyone else sins, my lackadaisical approach to finishing algebra, and my inability to dive for a volleyball. (Well, I could but I don't like to)
Three things that scare you: rabid animals, plagues, people choking
Three everyday essentials: laughter, prayer, being creative about something somewhere
Three physical things about the opposite gender that appeal to you?
The ability to reach far enough to open the door for a lady, to stoop low enough to pick up a crying child to comfort them, and to kneel in prayer often enough to wear out the knees of his jeans. :)
Three non-physical things about the opposite gender that appeal to you? A man after God's own heart, a Warrior, a Gentleman
Three things you just can't do: run a marathon, finish Middlemarch, keep a straight face
Three careers you're considering: mother, wife, keeper-at-home/helpmeet
I skip the ten things one. I don't have time right now. Well, I'll pick two: "I feel bad for the host of the blog that got a guest-post-gone-wrong" and "I can't wait till tomorrow night!"
Seven places you feel at home: writing a story, sitting near the woodstove, at the Thompson's, in my home, at the Wilsons, in a flower garden, and I'm sure in Scotland if I ever make it there! ;)
Eight ways to win your heart: be a gentleman, love Jesus passionately, (Hey, these don't have to be for young men specifically soooo) make me laugh, write me letters (girls only) pick me flowers, love children and my Gracie especially, like history and enjoy talking about it, and be a light-hearted, goodnatured, jolly, yet sober-in-the-right-ways person!
Four things that you do before you fall asleep: laugh with Mama, TGFV, and Sarah, put my awful, yet irresistable cat in the laundry room so she can't knock borrowed heirloom punch bowls off the counter, take out my contacts, read my Bible and pray.
Five things that cross my mind alot: movie quotes, favorite (and irritating sometimes) songs, ideas for more stories, funny situations, and my own quirky observations such as, "Did you ever notice that when a man shaves his head, yet wears a full beard, he looks like his head is on upside down?" (those are the sort of things I am well-known for thinking about! :)
Three songs that mean something to you: In Christ Alone, It is Well With My Soul, Revelation Song
Two confessions: I am sometimes guilty of being at a concert and observing everyone else and not listening to the music, making Sarah laugh in the middle of devotion and prayertime at breakfast
One thing I'm thinking about right now: hurrying to finish this and go see what Mama needed me for before advent! :)
Thanks Abigail, this was fun! :) -Rachel
