Something of Interest to Young Ladies

Hi Everybody! At Daughters of Destiny I met a wonderful young lady. She had been praying for someone to write for a magazine she is starting, and I had been praying for ways to use my writing-gift. Anyway, to make a long story short, I am doing a column in her magazine: Taking Every Thought Captive. I am really excited! She gave me the following information to spread around to anyone who may want to receive the magazine, or who wants to contribute! Enjoy! (Oh, as a side note that is totally disconnected, I am reading Persuasion by Jane Austen and loving it! I cannot stand Mary, I love the Admiral and Mrs. Croft, and I think Anne and Mr. Wentworth are perfect for each other- it doesn't take a genius to know that they must be married. I should hurl the book across the room if she married Charles Hayter! :)

Our Mission:
Taking Every Thought Captive is a magazine written for the encouragement and edification of Christian young ladies. Our desire is to encourage young ladies to honor their parents, to not be a "typical teenager" but to be set apart, to be "in the world and not of it". We want to help young ladies to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ".

Submissions:

We welcome all submissions..... non-fiction articles, short stories, poetry, devotionals, birth/wedding announcements, favorite recipes, photos, etc. All submissions must be approved by the editor and her parents. When writing please write what is based on the Word of God, and according to Philippians 4:8. Please include a current photo, (optional) a short bio, (name, age, hobbies, etc.) and any information such as Scripture references and translations, titles, authors, etc. Thank You!
